Most MYC campers arrive by car, traveling with their families and friends. If you are traveling by airplane, book your flight into the Ontario Intl. Airport in Southern California. Between the airport and the campsite, MYC will provide transportation only for flights arriving on Sunday July 18 between 12-7 PM and departing on Saturday, July 24 after 8 AM, and only for those campers who have confirmed arrangements with our Transportation Coordinator by July 1, 2010. MYC officially begins on Sunday, July 18, 2010. Campers should arrive at the campsite, check-in with the Onsite Registrar, and move into their cabins between 1-5 PM on Sunday. Campers should plan to stay through Saturday morning, July 24, and arrange for pick-up between 8-11 AM. Staff orientation will take place on Saturday, July 17, and staff members will receive information related to travel, transportation, meeting times, and accommodations from the MYC administration.


Remember to bring: a Quran, notebook and pen, a sleeping bag, and a flashlight. Pack a week's worth of loose, Islamically modest clothes suitable for both warm and cold weather. Include comfortable shoes, a swimsuit, towels, a warm jacket, and head scarves for women and young ladies. We recommend that campers bring extra money ($20 or so) for camp store purchases and/or any off-site activities. Note: cell phones do not operate reliably in the camp area. Limited internet access will be provided to camp staff.
